At A Life Worth Living NL, we are dedicated to providing compassionate counseling services to adults and families struggling with mental health issues in Newfoundland and Labrador. Our goal is to empower our clients to achieve their personal and professional goals, to improve their overall quality of life, and to have the life they want to live.
Our team of experienced therapist use a variety of evidence-based techniques, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness practices, to help our clients overcome negative thought patterns and behaviors. We believe in a holistic approach to mental health, addressing both the mind and body.
Our Team at A Life Worth Living includes Social Work Master Clinicians Tracy Fowler and Jenni MacPherson who are licensed, registered, and insured to work in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. These clinicians have over 32 years of combined experience in providing treatment to individuals with complex personality and post-trauma disorders.
Dr. Marsha Linehan, the developer of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), explains the 4 skills modules in DBT that you will learn in our DBT Skills Group: Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Interpersonal Effectiveness and Distress Tolerance.
Our practitioners are qualified and accredited with reputable professional associations for counselling and psychotherapy, including the Newfoundland & Labrador College of Social Workers.
